Today I found myself in Hudson NH for half my day with nothing to do. So I googled trails to walk in Hudson NH and I found out Benson's Animal Farm use to be in Hudson Nh. This I had not known, and in talking to others, I found not many people my age do know that. Yet we all seem to have at least one fond memory. I have enjoyed listening to the memories and while walking around I found a few of my own I had thought I lost.
The park of course isn't what it use to be, the town has done an amazing job of making it a easy trail walk/ dog park. Rare up here for working dog parks. On the right of the entrance there is a fenced in area that you can let your dog run free with other dogs, which I found thoughtful, as I have 2 very large German Shepherds and have very limited places to allow them to run free. All dogs are allowed throughout the park as long as they are on a 6 ft long leash. It has a wonderful Memorial for 9-11, another thing I must have missed by not watching the news at night. It was emotional to walk through. I shared those photo's in the new adventures section. It would take a few hours to walk the entire park, the longest trail is 2.5 miles long, which was one I chose to not go on today due to the heat. Even at 9:00Am this morning. There was also a picnic place and a few ponds to walk around. It was a quiet, pleasant walk, on a cool afternoon I can see it even being a nice baby stroller walk as the main trail follows along the old walkway the park use to have.
Please take a look and let me know what you think and some of your memories of Benson's Animal Farm. I would love to hear them.
Till the next adventure finds me... Enjoy
